 Acceptability Research

Our Research

Our research at Kyabirwa Surgical Center delves into the acceptance of ambulatory surgery by healthcare professionals, crucial for evolving surgical care delivery in Uganda. We aim to:

1. Measure the general receptiveness of healthcare providers to outpatient surgical models and home recovery solutions.

2. Investigate how demographic variables among these providers might influence their openness to these healthcare practices.

3. Identify personal beliefs, knowledge, or experiences (intrapersonal factors) that could affect the providers' acceptance of ambulatory surgery.

4. Examine the role of organizational culture and resources (institutional factors) in shaping attitudes towards and the practical adoption of ambulatory surgery coupled with home-based recovery.
